2005 - 2013Roundtable Consultation of “GHG Emission Estimations Experts”
Vasudha Foundation on behalf of GHG Platform India organised a roundtable consultation in New Delhi for inputs and recommendations from experts in the field of Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Land-use and Land-use change, Energy, Industry, and the Waste sector on methodology approaches and overcoming data challenges while expanding the time series of GHG estimates from 2005 to 2013 at both the national and state level. The meeting was organised in Amaltas Hall, India Habitat Centre on April 6th, 2017
During the meeting, several challenges in terms of methodology approaches, appropriate usage of proxy activity data, approaches to be adopted for apportionment of national data to state level data and vice versa in the absence of accurate activity data, activity data source for non-organized sectors, uncertainty in data and emission factors and associated approaches to reduce uncertainty, etc. were discussed.
